Recently, I need to look for an Internet Plan to be integrated into one of our solutions. I decided to take a look at Yes 4G again. Several months back, I did some testing and in short, the lack of an unlimited plan made Yes 4G very unattractive for heavy users. This time, to my surprised, I saw in Yes website that they now have an “Unlimited Plan”. Eager to see if Yes is finally responding to the many complaints, I clicked to study the different plans again.

My first thought was, why is there a “FOR DATA USAGE TO 1.5GB” if the plan is unlimited? So I figured that there must be some sort of throttling, common in the Teleco industry. I then decided to look at the “Fair Usage Policy”. After reading through the Terms and Conditions, I still didn’t see what the throttled speed will be. Anyway, I did fill up the online form requesting for more information.
